Lazio Region – Healthcare, Reorganized dental assistance in Lazio

Guarantee dental care to all citizens of Lazio. This is the objective of the Decree signed by President Zingaretti for the reorganization of dental care in our region. The provision identifies recipients, type of services and services to be guaranteed, together with the forms and methods of participation in the expenditure.

In particular, the conditions of social and health vulnerability that give the right to care paid by the Regional Health Service (SSR) are defined, taking into account the provisions of the proposed update of the Lea and in the agreement framework at the State-Regions Conference on the decree of the Ministry of Health which introduces the conditions for providing specialist outpatient assistance services.

In relation to social vulnerability, the decree introduces the ISEE as a criterion for access to care: for incomes of less than 8 thousand euros, the expenses are borne by the SSR; for incomes between 8,000 and 13,000 euros, however, a co-payment of expenses is envisaged with a ticket of up to 50.15 euros; for incomes between 13,000 and 20,000 euros, payment of services is envisaged with a 20% discount on corporate rates. In all three cases the cost of the artifact, plant and orthodontic material is excluded. Primary prevention activity in the population in childhood and evolutionary (0-14 years) is also entrusted to the Regional Health Directorate, as a prerequisite for identifying those who will have to access secondary prevention to real treatments.

From 1 January the largest European dental center will be active in Rome. The new structure that will be managed by Umberto I born from the structural and functional integration of the George Eastman hospital, currently managed by the ASL Roma A, with the dental clinic of the Polyclinic Umberto I.

The right to health, guaranteed by the Constitution, in Lazio is increasingly payable ".
